Arthritis is a devastating condition in which a person experiences inflammation throughout the various joints of the body. There are many different types of arthritis; however, most of the symptoms are quite common among all cases. Here, you will find the possible signs of arthritis. If you find that any of these signs seem familiar to you, it is important that you seek the opinion of a medical professional as soon as possible. They will be able to confirm a diagnosis of the suspected arthritis and inform you of all the treatments that are available.
One of the first possible signs of arthritis that you may notice is that your body will start to experience stiffness at various intervals throughout the day. This is especially noticeable in the morning, or when you get out of bed. Many times, a person who has arthritis will find that their body feels stiff after laying down for a certain amount of time, or sitting for a certain amount of time. They often have a difficult time returning to an upright position when arthritis is the culprit.
The second possible sign of arthritis is that various parts of the body may start to swell. When the swelling occurs, you may find that the skin is tightly pressed against a joint. If this is the case, you may have arthritis. One of the most common places that this symptom may become obvious is the hands. You may also notice this symptom in the foot area. If you experience this symptom, it may also be a sign of gout. It is important to see your doctor so that they may conclude the proper diagnosis.
The third possible sign of arthritis is that you may notice a temperature change in the area of a swollen joint. If you find that a particular area of your body that covers a joint becomes very warm, or hot, this may be an indication that you have arthritis. Of course, this particular symptom can be a symptom of many other conditions, but it is a common sign of arthritis. Other culprits may be gout, infections, and various other medical conditions.
The fourth possible sign of arthritis is that you may notice various cracks in the area of your joint. If you move and hear your bones making a variety of noises that sound like cracks, arthritis may be the reason. When person experiences arthritis, the cushion that allows for free and simple movement often becomes very dry. In many patients with arthritis, this cushion is completely eliminated. This is one of the reasons that so many people experience a high level of pain with arthritis.
If you find that you have any of the above listed possible signs of arthritis, you should consult the doctor that you normally visit. Arthritis can cause many more side effects than just aches and pains.
