Signs Of Depression
July 15th, 2008
The signs of depression are quite often easy to spot, some of them are more subtle than others but it should not take too long to realise that you really are not happy with your situation and you are feeling depressed about it.
Now, you may not think you are actually depressed or at least not there yet, however, if you are feeling down about things and feel that you are not happy then that is enough to realise that something needs to change in your life.
Here are some of the signs of depression you should look out for:
Being short tempered - If you are easily angered and "snap" often then that is a pretty clear sign that you are not in a good mental state.
Being very emotional - If you often find yourself becoming emotional or upset over little things then that is another quite clear sign.
Finding it hard to concentrate often - Do you find it hard to concentrate on the things you are doing throughout your day?
Gaining weight quickly - If you are eating more than usual and gaining weight quickly then there is often a reason for it other than simply being hungry
Feeling less energetic - It is quite common when suffering from depression to feel as though you have very little energy and not wanting to do daily activities as much
Sleeping patterns - Two things that can occur when suffering from depression are finding it hard to sleep (insomnia) or sleeping too much
These are just some of the signs of depression that you should look out for, if you are experiencing any of these then you should look into the problem with more detail and try to figure out what might be causing these feelings.
People can experience different signs of depression that maybe are not listed above or are not easily noticeable, however, the ones listed above are quite common signs.
